We are biased, Bordinos hosted our wedding reception when we got married. We love this place. Nice, upscale Italian fare in the middle of Dickson Street. You can reserve a table in the dining room or usually walk in and get a table in the bar area. We generally go for the bar because it has such a great atmosphere, and Amy is our favorite bartender

Rated #1 on Trip Advisor for a reason. This local chain serves some of the best grilled cheese sandwiches you will ever eat. The casual dining room and bar offer some of the best local beer selections on tap. There is often a bit of a line for peak meal hours and game weekends…they don’t take reservations but are worth the wait

Our go-to place for sushi in Fayetteville. Wasabi offers some uniquely Arkansas sushi rolls. They also offer a number of Korean and Japanese dishes if sushi is not your preference. It has a very energetic and busy crowd with a great outdoor patio area with live music for the summer/fall seasons. They can get busy on the weekend and they DO take reservations.

We’ve been meeting our friends here every Thursday for the past decade. US pizza is a fantastic Arkansas institution. They offer a great selection of unique pizza’s and sandwiches and the coldest beer served in Fayetteville. Their location, right on Dickson Street, and patio cannot be beat in the summer and fall.

When I say I eat here once a week I’m not exaggerating. I probably eat here more than once a week most of the time. Authentic Tex-Mex always with some great bar specials. It has a nice patio and if you are lucky a fun guy singing outside. This place, located on the Joyce Boulevard corridor, is always busy but you can usually get a table.

Go here, go now! They are neck and neck with Hugo’s for best burgers in Arkansas! Don’t forget the fries and if you’re feeling frisky try the onion rings! This is true local fare by true local boys (the Feltner twins and their younger brother were born in Russellville and started their restaurant about 5 years ago). They have a nice covered patio and always have favorite sporting events on the TVs.

Probably the best steaks in Fayetteville. This place is definitely THE Arkansas institution. Simple sides let the perfectly prepared steaks stand out, and the relaxed atmosphere can’t be beat. Reservations for this Dickson street restaurant are recommended as this place often fills up fast.

Saturday mornings would not be complete without a visit to Rick’s. Try any of their donut selections but don’t forget their sausage rolls (with mustard!) while you’re there. This is the perfect place to order a cake, cookies, brownies….literally any baked good you can dream up, they will make for you. *Fun tip: visit any day at lunch for one of their delicious sandwiches and get a free piece of cake or desert with your order. I always swing by here, get a donut and coffee, before heading to the Saturday farmer’s market on the square.

When I wanted to impress a date (back in the day) I would always take them to Pesto Café. This local favorite is definitely a “don’t judge a book by its cover” restaurant, as it is located in the “retro” Chief Motel off College Avenue. Once you are inside it is total old world charm with great down to earth Italian dishes. Be sure and order a carafe of Chianti with your meal and I guarantee you will leave very full. Call ahead to guarantee a table in this small restaurant.

One of the best burger places in Arkansas and the line spilling out onto the street is proof. Go during the week, either early or late for the best chance to get a table. There is usually always a line during peak dinner hours, especially on weekends. The basement restaurant, located on Block Street near the Fayetteville square, has a funky atmosphere with checkered table clothes and mismatched tables and chairs. The eclectic menu includes burgers, crepes, quiche, steaks and all types of sandwiches. You can’t leave without ordering a basket of the hand cut fries!!

Organic, Fresh, Local - all set in a very cool atmosphere. This restaurant was started by a local chef about 10 years ago. This place, on School Avenue, is a good option for gluten free and vegetarians. It also has a great, less expensive, lunch menu.

Grubs off Dickson or Grubs Uptown in North Fayetteville is a no-nonsense spot to grab a really delicious burger, wrap, or sandwich. The fries and dip are unforgettable. Both locations have a huge selection of beers on tap. We love heading here before or after the game.

Award winning BBQ and amazing southern side dishes (potato salad, baked beans, macaroni and cheese etc.) All this great food is located in a simple restaurant in slightly odd place (Fiesta Square-a strip mall off College Ave.) but it is simply too good to miss. If you are hungry order a combo plate, you won’t regret it! (It is also the closest restaurant on this list to our house! 4-5 minute drive)

A perfect lunch spot! This bakery has great sandwiches and lunch combos. Try the chicken salad or the Ruben sandwich! It also has a wide array of delicious bread and yummy cinnamon rolls. You get a free oatmeal butterscotch chip cookie with your order! Stone Mill is located on Gregg Avenue.

Drinks & Nightlife

21st is our bar when we're in town. It has the friendliest staff in town, very comfortable atmosphere and excellent selection of booze. When the weather is nice, be sure to head up to the rooftop. When the weather is nice, be sure and hang out downstairs next to the fire or on their large leather couch.

If you like hard to find, locally crafted beer then this is your place. With hundreds (literally) of beers on tap, you will absolutely find a favorite beer here. Its one of the few places in town that you can still smoke inside so I usually stay in the front room when the french doors are open.

The best crafted cocktails in town! I love their moscow mules but be sure and try one of their signature cocktails while you're there. They have great happy hour specials throughout the week. Arrive a bit early, after 10 this place gets very very popular with the college crowd.
