Sightseeing
One of Victoria’s most famous tourist destinations, Puffing Billy is a century old steam train that still runs on it’s original tracks through the mountain as it makes it’s way through the temperate rainforest. The carriages are open, so rug up if it is fresh. The train is slow, so we think that a trip to Emerald is more than sufficient.

The scenery is breath taking and there is a reason why people from all around Melbourne get up at the crack of dawn to do the steps. (Actually there are only about 800 steps, but we don't tell anyone :)

Little known is the Sherbrooke forest walking trail, off the beaten path and an absolute delight down to the Sherbrooke falls. Listen carefully, as that might not be a kookaburra laughing, it could be the cheeky but shy imitating lyre bird.

A man who had a profound connection with aboriginal community in Victoria and the Central desert at a time when aboriginals were treated very poorly. Many travel across the world to visit this place time and time again.
