Built around the 1st century A.D., it's divided into the three characteristic areas. The ancient Roman theater of Minturnae welcomed over 4000 spectators. Even in this days, every summer, the ancient structure hosts a prestigious season of shows. Inside the area you can see an original stretch of the Appian Way (Decumanus Maximus), built in blocks of basaltic lava. In the spaces below the càvea is located the museum that houses Acephalous.

The "Roman Cistern", dated to the first century A.C., is an imposing hypogean structure scanned in the longitudinal direction by rows of pillars that divide the environment into 4 naves covered by pseudo-cruise vaults. Located on the top of the "arce", corresponding to the current medieval village of Castellone, it was fed by the springs of the hilly area of Santa Maria la Noce to ensure the water supply of the ancient city of Formiae. It has strong typological affinities with two of the most important cisterns in the ancient world, such as the "Piscina Mirabilis" in Miseno and the famous "Yerbatan Saray" in Istanbul.

The village of Mola is characterized by the mighty cylindrical tower called "Torre di Mola" (residual, along with a few other structures, of the late medieval castle, which was almost completely destroyed by the bombings of the Second World War). Next to the castle stood the church with a double aisle of Saints Lorenzo and Giovanni which housed a canvas by Antoniazzo Romano, saved and recently restored and kept in the new Church of San Giovanni Battista. The village dresses up for a party, on June 24th, for the solemn procession of Saint John and, in the month of August, for the right recognition to San Lorenzo, protector of Mola even before the cult for the Baptist took root.
