Great quality food with unexpected ambiance. While the bar area is what you would expect from a New England seafood restaurant, the dining area has a more modern, Scandinavian, atmosphere. Excellent food!

A brewery just around the corner from where you are staying! Only open to 6:00 (sometimes later for special events). Excellent beer (get a flight, due to law they can serve pints). Activities to keep little ones busy (video game, corn hole, jenga). Often have live music as well as food vendors trucks.

So many options! Easy sight seeing from the road or get out of the car and go for a hike! Snow shoeing and cross country skiing options in the winter.

Beautiful location. This does get very busy on the weekends but it is still worth the trip. There is limited parking (this is part of the White Mountains National Forest) but with some patience you should be able to find a spot!

If you have a young child they most likely love trains! Short and inexpensive trips. Best in the fall or before Christmas but great year-round. Longer dinner excursions are available and in extremely high demand for the fall foliage!

The perfect amusement park for young families. Ideal for kids until about 8 years old. Look for deals ahead of time online. Can be a full day or a half day.
Tip: Upon arrival in the morning skip the activities in the front and go towards the rear to find shorter lines!

There are a small number of cars that are not allowed to climb Mount Washington. Automatic transmissions must have a low-gear option for the trip back down (most do).
