Since making its debut in late 2009, Rothschild 12 has easily become one of the city’s hippest hangouts, attracting a cool, sleek, quintessentially Tel Aviv clientele both day and night. The café-bar is located along the historic southern stretch of Rothschild Boulevard in an unassuming building that, despite its slightly rundown appearance, exudes a great amount of charm. The shabby-chic café spills out onto an outdoor patio, where stylish locals sip expertly made coffee and snack on pastries, enjoy comfort food or relax over a hearty brunch on weekends. The structure’s industrial appearance also belies what awaits visitors inside: an elegant, incredibly well-stocked bar that serves upscale bistro fare and prides itself on its artistic bent, as evidenced by the grand piano on display. Rothschild 12 hosts renowned DJs and live performances by top musicians practically every evening, and also presents music festivals, contemporary art exhibitions and installations.

Neve Tzedek may well be one of Tel Aviv’s oldest districts , but its still young at heart! Newe Tzedek or Neve Tsedek, as it is also known is another district of Tel Aviv which has become increasingly fashionable in recent years, as restoration works have taken place to restore it to its former glory. Built in 1887, Neve Tzedek was the first Jewish neighborhood outside of the old port city of Jaffa, built as a suburb. Its Oriental architectural style, combined with quaint, narrow streets with boutiques, make Neve Tzedek, which means Oasis of Justice, quite literally an oasis in the modern city.

The Carmel Market, or Shuk HaCarmel, is the most famous of all Tel Aviv’s marketplaces. In recent years, it’s even joined the ranks of Tel Aviv’s trendy spots for bars, restaurants, coffee shops and chef-owned food stalls. It’s no wonder Shuk HaCarmel is Tel Aviv’s largest and most-centrally located shuk: From hand-made Jachnun, a traditional Yemenite dish, to boutique cheeses, and from one-off cotton clothes to designer threads, HaCarmel has it all. Plan your visit around your tastebuds and food preferences - salted fish, cured meats, Middle Eastern fare, fresh baked French pastries, and local-roasted coffee or fresh-pressed fruit or vegetable juice blends to wash it all down.
