A parking lot for the beach access is on Highway 1 across from the Elk Store. The visitor center and town museum is located 100 yards north. A well-graded trail leads from the parking area down to the driftwood-laden beach where Greenwood Creek pools at the base of Bonee Gulch. This is a picturesque spot to say the least. Gunderson Rock is a rock island that stands tall just offshore from the beach.

Ten Mile Beach is the long stretch of coastline at Inglenook Fen Ten Mile Dunes Preserve in MacKerricher State Park. The beach, which is actually about four miles long, starts at the north end of Main Beach and continues all the way to Ten Mile Creek just south of Seaside Beach.
