Downtown near the Gaslamp District, they have added new shops and dining (Eddie V's is a spectacular steak house) you can walk along the harbor and visit the shops in the village, great for families, couples, tourists. Street performers on weekends, a turn of the century carousel. Views to Coronado and a ferry to take you there. Bonus! The Jacob Shell venue hosts San Diego symphony and great musical acts in a spectacular outdoor setting next to the water! My husband and I got married there,,,so we'll always be partial to it ;)

This park is great for families with younger children and obviously LEGO enthusiasts;) Approximately 30 miles from our beach house!

World Famous the grounds are spectacular as well as the amazing array of animals in a close to natural setting...Enjoy a lot of walking throughout or take the double decker bus tour and sky ride to take in more of the park in less time!

Lots to do and see in the park while seeing all the marine life that resides there! My kids grew up with annual passes and we were never disappointed with many trips to Sea World !

A decommissioned aircraft carrier, most people don't have the opportunity to see a Navy Ship this up close and personal. When you see all the planes it holds, it's astounding. Located downtown on harbor drive, there are restaurants and new open space park, Little Italy (farmers mkt on Sunday) all nearby.

Old Town has it ALL...Great Mexican restaurants (our rehearsal dinner was at Guadelupes, so again, partial), shopping -you can find wonderful items Made in Mexico without having to go over the border, there is San Diego history there with an original school house, Wells Fargo postal carriage, etc, There's even a haunted house and a tour through it and the cemetery (I have pixs of light orbs from the church). There's even a theatre. The trolley (where I met my man) runs right to the edge of old town, and you'll get plenty of walking in seeing all the sights!

Local bar and grille, a little off the beaten path, and walking distance from our house. There's Quava's next door, so take your pick from watching the games on the Big Screen, or sitting on the outside rail and people watch!

Best Views in San Diego! Great photo opportunities. There are easy to difficult hikes and a information center (log cabin) with docents and rangers to answer any questions!

There are some great boutiques (and FunKy ones too) in the beach area that carry one-of-a-kind items and things unique to the area....but if you want to get your "Mall" on, go to Fashion Valley. There's a trolley stop there too (before you head to Old Town for dinner)!

UTC has been completely remodeled and has great shopping, dining, people watching, ice skating and a speakeasy too!
I went a lot during the holidays and never saw all the shops there, it’s so big!
