Parks & Nature
Lovely, peaceful place with an air of history (Voltaire stayed here) With its beautiful classic country house, built in the 18th century in the middle of a park, Voltaire wrote and performed several plays here. The small neoclassical-style pavilion is surrounded by a café/restaurant in the summer months. The ruins of a tower, a small waterfall, neoclassical temple, orange grove, lovely aviary and stunning old exotic and giant trees makes it a wonderfully relaxing and romantic spot to visit alone or with someone special, or with children as the playground is one of the best in Lausanne!
