World renowned. Park-like setting which the Finger Lakes Trail meanders through. Excellent English herb/perennial garden. Find Fall Creek's 'Flatrock' area nearby along Forest Home Drive for some summertime coolin'. Bring a lawn chair and a frisbee for the dog. Plop yourself right in the creek and enjoy the scene.

Because... you can hike from Collegetown down through this lush and verdant gorge, and pop out downtown practically on the Commons. Grab a cup a Gimme! and you're primed for the hike back up. Amazing. And right in town.

Tallest waterfall east of the Mississippi (or so I've heard). Excellent level one-mile hike through the gorge to the falls. Amazing stratification along the walls of the gorge. The park across the road is a beautiful place on Cayuga Lake.

1740 Taughannock BlvdTallest waterfall east of the Mississippi (or so I've heard). Excellent level one-mile hike through the gorge to the falls. Amazing stratification along the walls of the gorge. The park across the road is a beautiful place on Cayuga Lake.
Hike from the top. Go 1/4 of the way down, to Lucifer Falls. Stunning scenery. The whole loop is quite an excursion. You can take the car to the bottom and hit the absolute-best swimming hole this side of paradise. The falls pour in. Great diving board. Of course, everyone else knows about this place, so enjoy the company.
