Long-time Mount Vernon family just (June 2018) re-opened this classic Italian restaurant. Their food is a good as ever, and we locals LOVE the Mazza's salad : heavy on the garlic, just right on the gorgonzola, and very addicting! Yum!

Great Mexican food! They also have another location on Coshocton Ave., known as "Fiesta Mexicana Express", but it is also a full-service restaurant.

Beautiful scenery just north of here, full of old-growth hemlock trees and incredible color in the autumn. Great hiking, a good workout for biking, and dog-friendly!

Sightseeing
Beautiful park that also showcases the area's glass producing history. They also host events (usually free). Also great exercise climbing the stairs that circle the old smokestack.

Roscoe Village is one of the last places to see where the Ohio Erie Canal passed through and what life was like at that time. You can also take a canal boat ride, pulled by horses on the canal path! Before the railroads were built, the canal system was the transportation to distribute goods and people from the Great Lakes inland. A really neat slice of history, with enough modern conveniences to make it a nice stop.

Incredible Covered Bridge on the Mohican Valley Trail. Not too far from Honey Run Park, and an attraction that gets 4.5 stars!
