Forest Park has so many beautiful hikes and its the largest park inside city limits. Its wonderful to just walk around or if you like trail running there are plenty of trails to do that too. Its just a beautiful way to see nature inside the city.

This is a close trail that goes along the train tracks. Very nice paved trail that also has little off chutes that you can explore as well. Also great for biking, you will see a large amount of bikers on this trail.

Beautiful beach only about 60 min from our house. We love going out there, the Oregon coast is just a beautiful coast. Don't get expecting to swim a lot unless you love cold water but go to play on the beach and put your feet in the water and enjoy the beauty that is the Oregon coast!

Cannon Beach
Center StreetBeautiful beach only about 60 min from our house. We love going out there, the Oregon coast is just a beautiful coast. Don't get expecting to swim a lot unless you love cold water but go to play on the beach and put your feet in the water and enjoy the beauty that is the Oregon coast!
Getting Around
This stop is about a 20 min drive from our house but if you don't like driving downtown and finding parking, this is an excellent place that has free parking and the red or blue Max line takes you right into downtown Portland. You can also ride this to the Portland Zoo if you don't want to pay to park. The Zoo gives discounts if you show them your Max ticket.

Multiple events take place here. If you're in town, try to catch a Blazer game or one of the many other events that go on here at the Moda Center. For us, we take the Max in so we don't have to deal with parking down there. It can be tricky to park but the Max red or Blue line will take you straight there.
