Guidebook for Santa Fe

Food Scene

Very, very, very best authentic Santa Fe Cuisine. Prices make a large family happy, service makes everyone happy, locals consider it a regular weekly must and while the location is not special we think you will leave with a memory of great guacamole, excellent sauces, kind people and a soft touch to your pocket-book! PS they sell sauces, soups, enchiladas in bulk in case you don't want to cook when you get back to the house....

An afternoon sipping wine, eating snacks or long lunches in the courtyard, discussing ideas and people watching is sheer bliss! It is beautiful, relaxing, and authentic. The location is within a very old home, the many rooms which surround it are now pleasant shops, many with lovely locally hand-crafted wares. The first meal we enjoyed there was a plate of fresh Halibut Ceviche, Guacamole and Mango-Chili Salsa paired with crisp ice-cold Pinot Grigio! We'll always remember it and have been back as often as possible. Reasonably priced for the quality and superior service.

The food is bar-none the best in Santa Fe. Reserve your money for this place (translate-avoid El Farol, Geronimo and Bishop's Lodge - they are pricey an ok but nothing to write home about.) The Compound is beautiful anytime of day or night (lunch-dinner-brunch.) The service is friendly, impeccable; the food amazing and mostly farm-to-table fresh-seasonal; the crowd is lively and fun; the drinks are yummy! This is Santa Fe fine dining!
