World Renown National Park just about 1 hour from camp. Great for hiking, strolling, biking, and many other outdoor activities. See the guide books on the camp book shelf and maps for more details

The park is large and there are many attractions to see ranging from the rocky shoreline and magic of sand beach, to breathtaking views on one of the many mountains, to the green forests. It’s a lot to take in and we highly encourage guests to plan to check out the park in general.

Pub irlandais
“Finn's Irish Pub in historic downtown Ellsworth serves traditional Irish fare updated with gastro-pub flair. The hidden gem inside this Main Street standby is a 1932 Jerry O'Mahoney Dining Car, complete with original marble bar top and mahogany wood work. With 21 tap handles featuring a fine selection of domestic and imported craft beers, Irish music playing over the sound system, and the aroma of Steak & Mushroom Pie and Wexford Fish Cakes wafting from the kitchen, Finn's provides rich rewards for all the senses”

“Historic Fort Knox Is about 24 mins (15.8 miles) from Mountain Edge Suite. The fort was named for Major General Henry Knox, America's first Secretary of War, who was born in Boston but retired to Thomaston, Maine in 1796. The fort garrisoned its first troops from 1863 to 1866. These troops were mostly volunteers undergoing training before being sent to their active posts, and included members of the celebrated 20th Maine.”
