World class skiing! One of many excellent ski resorts in New Mexico within a few hours of Albuquerque. other good ski resorts within one hour if Albuquerque include Sandia Crest and Santa Fe ski resorts. All have great mountain biking in the summer.

A trip to Taos isn't complete without visiting the Ski Valley. In the winter, these slopes will transport you to the swiss alps in both beauty and technical terrain. Don't be fooled though, there is something for everyone and plenty of beginner, intermediate, and expert terrain here, despite what it might look like standing at the base :) In the summer, hiking, mountain biking, and rock climbing abound! Sign up for their Via Ferrata and take the whole family! The Bavarian restaurant is my top recommendation for food in any season.
