World Famous for it's smoked kippers, smoking house opposite the entrance to the Jolly Fisherman Pub - highly recommended. The prettiest harbour and and a lovely walk along the coast to Dunstanburgh Castle. The food van outside the Tourist Information also serves awesome crab sandwiches to take away.

Howick Hall, a Grade II* listed building is the ancestral seat of the Earls Grey. It was the home of the Prime Minister Charles, 2nd Earl Grey (1764–1845), after whom the famous tea is named.
