Twenty min climb and you can see the whole area from the bird view.
Great wee climb with a great view. A bit of boulder climbing involved, with some fixed ropes but our 5 year old gets up there ok. About 45 minutes round trip. Run down back beach sand dunes afterwards.
Paritutu Rock forms part of an old volcanic crater. You can hike up the Rock - takes about 15-20 minutes up. It is steep near the top, but the Council has provided chains along the climb to help. Small children will need to be supported as the top section requires a bit of rock climbing. Stunning…
