Eastern Market is just one of the most magical places in the world. It’s the biggest open-air market in all of North America, and it just bustles with this incredible energy. People of all backgrounds and all ages are there. Many Detroit farmers and food producers sell there each week. It’s an incredible way to spend a Saturday. Grown in Detroit and Brother Nature Produce are two of the great farm vendors that sell here. Grown in Detroit is the food cooperative of Keep Growing Detroit where a lot of small growers, like home gardeners throughout the city, sell their food.

The very best place to find locally grown produce, meat, bread, honey, and all manner of locally made products. Always popping on a Saturday, year-round! We buy the majority of our food here each week.
A vibrant year round farmers market with everything from local urban farmers to fruit and veggie distributors. We sell products from our farm here on Saturdays. Near the vibrant areas of Gratiot Ave and Lafayette Park, and a stones (or balls) throw from Tigers Stadium and Ford Field.
I’ve travelled a lot and have yet to see another cities farmers market that comes close to ours. HUGE, great deals, local produce surrounded by fun shops and restaurants. Also, Eastern Market is surrounded by colorful street murals. An absolute must especially if you’re in town on a Saturday…
Detroit’s farmer’s market with vendors selling everything from produce and fruits to fresh flowers and delicious food!

“We love getaways to Belle Isle, a massive city park in the middle of the Detroit River! The circumference of the island is roughly 6 miles, a lovely drive or bike ride or run. Trails, athletic fields, an indoor conservatory, one of the oldest aquariums in the US, a nature center, a beach, driving range, multiple playgrounds... ”

“Top pick for flavor out of all the restaurants I have been to in Detroit. Smaller plates that never require salt or pepper. If you are looking for a unique place, that WON'T disappoint, this is it.”
