A short drive away is the Chumash Casino Resort. Even if you're not a gambler they offer shows, a great buffet spread, and a spa.

"Native Americans have lived along the California coast for at least 13,000 years. The first settlement started over 13,000 years ago near the Santa Barbara coast. The name Chumash means “bead maker” or “seashell people” being that they originated near the Santa Barbara coast."
