Just 3 minutes away is the Arenberg park- a beautiful small park surrounded by some of the most impressive "Wiener Altbau" buildings in Vienna. One can also marvel at two of the six flak towers located in Vienna. They are a monumental and terrifying sight that is definitely worth the time. If one feels like having a coffee or snack there is the "Meierei Arenbergpark" which serves breakfast and other little dishes, such as panini, omelettes... I just love going there to sit down beneath the trees and read a book. For dog owners: There is a specified area for dogs where they can run freely and do their business.

Small park between two bunkers; nice for a picknick or sunbath if you don't have much time to take a long walk (5min walking from the appartment); children's playground

Der Arenbergpark ist an der Ende der Gasse, war einmal ein Barocker Lustgarten der Prinzen Arenberg. Das Palais hat den 2. Weltkrieg nicht überlebt und der Grund dafür steht allzu massiv mitten im Park: die Flak-Türme (Fliegerabwehr). Übrigens direkt in einem der Häuser hier am Park lebte die berühmte Tante Jolesch. Wer sie nicht kennt, kennt ihren Spruch: "Was ein Mann schöner ist als ein Aff, ist ein Luxus". Aber ihre Krautfleckerl waren legendär. Der riesen Spielplatz am hinteren Flakturm lässt Deine Familie zum Anwohner des Arenbergviertels mutieren, oder Du beobachtest einfach das Freizeitverhalten lokaler Großstädter.
