The Museum of Prehistory and Archeology occupies a modern exhibition space of 2.000m2 in the Market of the East of Santander, located in the center of the city, in the street Hernán Cortés 4. The exhibition aims to communicate to the visitor how the evolution of the ways of life in the Prehistory and History of Cantabria, a privileged patrimonial scenario, representative of the European Paleolithic and Prehistory. A state-of-the-art facility, equipped with abundant audiovisual and interactive media, digital posters and large-format scenographies, envelops the visitor in a museographic collection of tactile, sonorous sensations.

El Museo de Prehistoria y Arqueología ocupa un moderno espacio expositivo de 2.000m2 en el centro de la ciudad, en el Mercado del Este de Santander (c/Bailén s/n), en un edificio construido entre 1839 y 1842 según planos de A. Zabaleta y fue declarado Bien de Interés Cultural en 1986. El museo ofrece visitas guiadas.
