Great place to visit. All animals are wildlife rescues that can no longer survive in the wild on their own. Inexpensive to get in, invaluable in teaching people about respecting and valuing wildlife and the environment.
Small local zoo that only houses injured and rescued animals. Its a great visit for a day out with the kids and learn about local wildlife.
A great little zoo featuring locally rescued wildlife. The small scale provides great up close encounters with the animals.
The Big Bear Zoo specializes in rehab and release of local Alpine species, and also has a permanent collection of animals in their zoo, including Bears, Mountain Lions, Eagles, and Foxes.

“It may sound kitschy, bit you really can’t miss the gigantic red barn bowling alley. Have a few brews, throw those bowling shoes on and let your professional inner bowler shine! [3.0 miles from the cabin]”
