Avec des enfants, en couple, ou pour courir, le parc de la citadelle est agréable avec son zoo et ses jardins. Elle est l'œuvre de Sébastien Leprestre, Marquis de Vauban. Edifiée sur ordre de Louis XIV qui venait de conquérir la ville, sa construction se déroula sur trois ans de 1667 à 1670.

Allez y faire une ballade ou un jogging. Les enfants pourront aller jouer au Cita Parc ou visiter le Zoo de Lille, il est tout neuf. Et enfin allez boire une bière sur la péniche ou au QUARTIER LIBRE, c'est très vivant.

Have a walk in the park of Citadelle observing the impressive walls of this 17th century fortress built by the famous military architect Vauban. If you travel with children, there is a zoo where you can find a white rhinoceros and an small attractions park. Don't forget to buy a French fries cone in the "baraque a frites". If you like water activities you can take boats to discover La Deule (the canal). There is also a nice boat restaurant L'Archimède just bearby where you can drink a cold beer on the terrace.
