It is a beautiful park with large trees, trails, volleyball courts, basketball court, baseball diamond, small children's playground along with a historic cemetery that contains the final resting place of Kit Carson.

Between Memorial Day and Labor Day, there are festivals, concerts and fairs going on at Kit Carson Park.

The graveyard at Kit Carson Park has some notable grave stones. Lots of history in and around the plaza. Governor Bent, Kit Carson, etc. Also live music, festivals, and movies

A nice place to take a walk and hang out. There are picnic tables, volleyball court, basketball court, and plenty of shade.

Kit Carson Park is right around the corner and is excellent for in town walking, jogging, kicking the ball around, and just plain relaxing in the sun.
