The Sternberg Museum of Natural History ranks among the best of natural history museums. No other state university the size of Fort Hays State has a natural history museum comparable in size and scientific importance as the Sternberg.

Great for kids. It's a neat museum owned by the university focusing on dinosaurs and other natural history.

35 min drive. A great getaway with lots of history. An Animatronic dinosaur exhibit and many fossils that were found just down the interstate from Collyer!
