Pourquoi les habitants le recommandent

Run by two women, Farmer’s Hand is a larger market that includes produce from all over the city, so people can buy produce from many of the Detroit farms in one place throughout the week, rather than just one day a week like at Eastern Market. Peaches & Greens is for that particular neighborhood, but this new market is attracting people from all over. It’s in Corktown, which is a part of Detroit that’s pretty walkable and has some other creative places to visit around it (an art bookstore, cafes, etc.)

Owned by the same people who own Folk. This place is little but stacked with local produce and products. A bit on the expensive side but this shop is deeply committed to supporting local agriculture by giving the majority of the profits to the farmers and producers. Ask about anything in the store and they will tell you a story about where it comes from.

The owners try to source everything from Michigan. It is worth checking out their goods and their prepared food counter. Grab a HAND PIE and some tea.
