Good hike, well traveled, with nice views of the falls/stream at multiple points along the trip. Can extend the hike longer to get to the Priest, but be sure to allow enough time.
If you’re in town for a while, it’s worth the hour drive to Crabtree falls, where you hike up a mountain literally right next to a waterfall. I was shocked the first time I saw it- it’s a huge waterfall. Really huge. The climb is steep but groomed. Probably not great for tiny tots but my 8 year old…
Beautiful walk to picturesque falls among the tallest east of the Mississippi
Don't miss hiking the falls!! While there, go on past the falls to the Montibellos Camp store for a bite of chili then continue to the Blue Ridge Parkway. It is my fvorite drive in the county.
