A nice little bird sanctuary with a house for nesting barn swallows and plenty of bird boxes for tree swallows and eastern bluebirds. A huge variety of planted hollies and other landscape trees, and a pond with a trail around it. Besides the nesting birds, my favorite attraction is the rare Franklinia tree, native to the southern US but now extinct in the wild. In August it has large white and yellow, camillia-like flowers that attract bumblebees.

An eight-acre coastal plain pond, considered a globally rare natural community attracting over 30 species of dragonflies and rare pond shore wildflowers. The sanctuary is also known for its 1,000 holly trees of 65 varieties.
