The MoMA’s sister museum for contemporary art has a must-see installation by James Turrell, an artist who is interested in the mind’s theta state. It’s a room of changing colors meant to trigger brain-wave entrainment into deep relaxation. About 30 people are allowed in at one time, and there are wooden benches all around to relax on. There is an open window in the room, so if the weather is bad don’t come out here to see it. They’ll close the installation.

In the summer they host live outdoor DJ events every month. Not quite in Williamsburg but really close (Long Island City).
My building is 5 Min walk away from the famous MoMa (Museum of Modern Art)'s PS1 Location featuring modern architecture reinvented from a public school and famous contemporary artists' works.

“Great park, new modern architecture, and furniture. Arguably the best view of the Manhattan skyline in all of NYC. The only downside is that parking can be an issue in this part of town so make it here by public transit or Uber if you can.”

“This little park is still a pretty well kept secret. Sculptures and pieces of arts along little pathways and between trees. Must see! (Check their website to make sure they’re not in between shows...)”
