Mountain bike trails for all abilities through pine and deciduous forest. Also walking paths through the forest and around Stocks reservoir at the bottom of which is the flooded village of Stocks-in-Bowland.

Lots of off road bike trails, bike hire (for adults only) available. Also nice little themed walking trails for kids and a small playground. Upstairs at the cafe there are toys and plenty of space. Look at The Hub Facebook page as they have lots of events including forest school sessions and mini music festivals.

Gisburn is a working and dynamic forest created and managed by the Forestry Commission. The forest and recreation facilities are likely to continue to change and evolve.

The largest forest in Lancashire, Gisburn Forest has a network of waymarked forest walks and a cycle trail. These are based on existing forest roads offering a variety of routes, with the total length of the cycle network at 16km. Cycle Hire and group tours are available (by prior arrangement) from Cycle Bowland and Cycle Adventure. Gisburn Forest has two fantastic mountain bike trails, the moderate graded Bottoms Beck for younger or novice riders and the red graded 18km "The 8" for those with a higher level of experience and skill. At Gisburn Forest hub you'll find a new Skills Loop to practice riding mountain bike trail features.
