Adelaide Art Gallery has a collection of almost 45000works of art, making it the 2nd largest collection in Australia. It is part of the North Terrace cultural precinct, the SA Museum is to the left and Adelaide Uni to the right- it is accessible by tram from Entertainment centre to Botanic gardens…
An excellent and interesting collection of Australian and international art. Don’t forget to stop at the coffee shop for a delicious hot chocolate.
Free with a huge range of art. They are including the modern and installation art, and some gorgeous paintings and aboriginal pieces. They have items displayed beautifully with descriptive laminated cards that give you info on all the pieces displayed.
Free - although there are always travelling exhibits too - that have an entry fee. The art gallery features many local and national artists. North Tce, Adelaide. Open daily.
