Relaxed spot with picnic seating preparing traditional Anishnawbe (aboriginal) food, with brunch on weekends.

BlogTO: NishDish Marketeria is doing more than just serving traditional Anishnawbe food, they’re reclaiming native food history and First Nations culture. The simple, astonishingly cheap menu is made up of small healthy items for a couple bucks that you can pair together.

'NishDish is a business built on traditional Anishnawbe (Nish) food. We are proud to be a First Nations Owned and Operated Food Emporium specializing in our Native cuisine and culture right here in Toronto. NishDish is a casual, quick service counter and cafe in the daytime, and a working catering kitchen. We offer a short menu that frequently rotates depending on the Traditional Feasts and events we are working with. '

I haven't had the opportunity yet to try this place but the reviews speak for itself! Check it out, Indigenous cuisine only a few blocks east on Bloor.
