Pourquoi les habitants le recommandent
I love to hit Abbot Kinney for First Fridays, when all the shops stay open late. There’s music blasting in the streets, and the community is alive and happy. You can grab a beer and bounce from store to store. Designers set up stands on the street displaying their jewelry and clothing lines. If you want to discover a new painter who in 20 years will be the next Picasso, this is the place to do it. New artists sell their paintings all up and down the street.
Conseils des habitants
No chain stores, unique (can be pricey) finds - plus good watering holes and healthy options too. First Friday Food trucks are always festive!
Abbott Kinney built Venice and this street was named after him in the 1980's is full of High end shopping stores.
This is the hot shopping/dining/star-sighting spot on the Westside. Check out Gjelina, with its great brunch, lunch and awesome dinners. Uber popular and worth every penny!
