Coffee museum, located in Chikmagalur is established by Coffee board of India. Coffee and Chikmagalur has had a historic association. First plantations of coffee in India was planted in Chikmagalur in the 18th century by a Sufi Saint named Baba Budangiri. The coffee museum is an attempt to recreate the history of coffee in India. The museum is a treat for coffee lovers as they can understand all the pain it takes for the coffee to our fresh cuppa.

Coffee Museum offers an interesting insight into the coffee business, from bean to brew. Their excellent documentary on the origins and growth of coffee in the region is worth sitting through.
