Fantastic, quirky and friendly - this is a mixed-use arts space with galleries, cafes, artists' residence, a huge courtyard for the on-site bar and restaurant. They stock their own brewed beer (Barney's) and distilled gin (Pickerings).

I am saying theatre and yet Summerhall is so much more. Offers food and drink at great prices. Shows, art exhibitions and workshops are all part of this vibrant space. Only 5 minutes walk from the flat.
