A beautiful drive anytime of day, but if you’d like to see a beautiful sunset- head there about an hour before sunset. Bring a blanket and a beverage . Stop to check the view at each lookout! Overlook# 9/10 is the spot to view the sunset. Wander over to the viewing platform, then head up the dune to see lookout #10 (if you’re feeling ambitious.) Each view is unique! Set up your blanket on top of the big hill at overlook #9. Enjoy the sunset! Be sure to check out the last overlook #11 before leaving the park, for a lovely view of North Bar Lake and Empire Bluffs. ***TIP: Use restroom at overlook #11, much cleaner and less busy than restrooms at #9 /10.

A great way to view one of your most beautiful national parks. The scenic drive allows anyone no matter the age, health or physical restrictions to view some of the lakefronts of Leelanua.
