The sweet potato tacos are great! All of the food is really good and it's within walking distance from the River Haus! I have to admit we eat there every time we visit the River Haus. :)

“Friendly, relaxing place. Good food, and a variety of adult beverages inside. Live music outside under the stars on weekends. Sit at a picnic table, or bring your chair and listen to some local musicians. ”

Rivière
“If you’ve never been tubing, Texas State Tubes is a great place to start! For a couple of bucks, you can rent a tube and get a shuttle pass to drive you back to your parking spot after the river trip ends! The river takes about 3+ hours to float, but it completely depends on the currents. This is one of my favorite activities to do in Texas! ”

Point of Interest
“The people are amazing especially Cody. If you are using the tubes from float festival and anyone trying to take it, simply tell them Jimmer said get Cody. They will stop, Cody is married to the man that owns all it and the lands daughter. There is no one higher up and in time will be proudly be passed to Cody. I earned those while working Float Festival both years it happened. They were once taken from other guests and Cody returned them to me plus one. PROMISE”

Natural Feature
“The San Marcos river is a host to some of the cleanest water you can find, anywhere. The water from its spring-fed source is 10 times cleaner than EPA standards for drinking water! The usual float is one mile, though it's possible to float longer with a do-it-yourself toobing trip. When you're done, you can make a quick 10 minute walk back to the beginning and toob it again, or catch a shuttle back, operated by the Lions Club of San Marcos. Halfway between the music festivals and tech headquarters of Austin, Texas and the Spanish-colonial beauty of San Antonio is San Marcos. A rapidly growing city sometimes nicknamed “San Marvelous,” for its increasing attractiveness. Newcomers, whether they’re new residents or visitors, are discovering what some people have known for tens of thousands of years about this little oasis at the confluence of the San Marcos and Blanco rivers, not far from Guadalupe Mountains National Park. River tubing the San Marcos is extremely popular. Its also one of the best ways to enjoy water that stay a cool 72 degrees year-round. Those looking for a challenge might be interested in the Texas Water Safari. It’s a 262-mile canoe race from San Marcos to the gulf that must take place within just four days and four hours, using only human power and whatever supplies competitors initially bring onboard. If that sounds like a bit much, however, you can take a chiller approach with river tubing.”
