This local favorite is a very large park area that has plenty of room to walk and enjoy the huge old pine trees lining its wide trails. There are lots of picnic areas with fireplaces. The pond is open for kids under age 16 to fish--it's frequently stocked for this purpose

This is a lovely little walk, right in town. It's our favorite place to stretch our legs when we want a quick trip to nature.
