Gorgeous redwood forests. Try the Sequoia Bayview trail off skyline blvd for a level hike with beautiful scenery.

Take a hike and re-center amongst the redwoods. There are tons of trails and picnic areas here and in neighboring Reinhardt Redwood Regional Park. There's even a free archery course and the Chabot Space and Science Center which is terrific for families.

Closeby park with plenty of hiking. I recommend the Sunset Trail.

From towering redwood forests to horseback riding to archery, you could spend several days exploring and still not see it all. There are a few different entrances to the park, but we love the short walk from Joaquin Miller Road to Lookout Point. Park along the road and take the Bishops Walk trail--you can’t miss the well-marked “Lookout Point” sign. Bring your favorite sunset-viewing beverage and snacks and get ready for some magic.
