Piazza Santissima Annunziata is just 3 minutes by walk from home. There is the beautiful Spedale degli Innocenti of Brunelleschi.

The Ospedale degli Innocenti is a historical building in Florence. Designed by Filippo Brunelleschi, who received the commission in 1419, it was originally a children's orphanage.

Piazza SS Annuziata (The Holiest Annunciation Square) is another of Florence's wonderful squares. It's rather out of the way from the typical tourist route, so there are not many tourists here. Consequently, this is somewhat a hidden gem because, in a quiet atmosphere, you can admire some jewels like the arched portico of the orphanage 'Ospedale degli Innocenti', which was realized by Brunelleschi - the master behind the Firenze Duomo's Cupola!
