You can see Table Rock from downtown Valdese, but the views from on top are well worth the hike!

This is my family's favorite hiking spot. The trail is well maintained and only moderately steep. Once you reach the top, it's a breathtaking view you will never forget. A few words of caution, families with little children should be extra careful. There is no railing and staying on the right trail is very important. I know someone who wandered off the trail and ended up lost in the Linville Gorge. Not a good way to spend your vacation. Make sure you pack plenty of water, snacks and a camera!

Another great day trip for an exceptional hiking experience. This trail is 1.4 miles out and back rated as moderate.

WELL worth the 1 mile hike up the rock to see the breathtaking beauty! Be sure to pack enough water. The gravel road to get there begins at Ginger Cake Acres just off Interstate 181 in the Linville Falls Area.
