Bike the Hauraki Rail Trail and see some amazing scenery and the World Famous L & P bottle in Paeroa. Eat lunch at the Falls retreat and have a drink in the Waikino Pub

There are great cycle and walking trails, two rivers, waterfalls, glow worms, an old rail tunnel, old mining tunnels and various beautiful native bush walks. You can also climb Mt Karangahake where you get a stunning view over the area.

The main attraction is the HAURAKI RAIL TRAIL. This cycle pathway runs from Paeroa to Waihi and conveniently runs along the bottom of our doorstep, which means you can cycle either way. The route to Paeroa takes in the dramatic scenery of the gorge with it's waterfalls and rapids and of course the tunnels and bridges.
