A place that reflects the wonderful history of Gleleng. A huge picture of the first landing is displayed within the home. It was the home of Mr Morphjett (who originally also owned all of the surrounding land) . These beautiful grounds are open to the public for picnics and to just enjoy looking at. the Lovely home has tours the 3rd week of the moneth, or if you have a gorup, they will do a special tour for you by arrangement. they also have a function room where they hold events. In one room there is a huge picture of the first landing in Adelaide. Cummin's House and the land around, including most of the suburb of Morphettville once belonged to the Morphett family. He was the son of a lawyer in the U.K . and had first pick of the land he wanted here . Mr Morphett also had some involvement in politics and was very active in the community. The land was slowly sold off by the family and now we can still enjoy touring the lovely original home.
