This is a great place to grab a last-minute burger but be sure to order early enough! Absolutely brilliant for great quality casual meals in house - be sure to book your table ASAP

Was driving by and stopped on a whim for lunch! Great active fireplace cosying the place on entry, menu selections promising. I settled on the steak, done medium to perfection, with anchovy butter, chips and tangy salad. Squid was fine too, as was the wine. And not outlandishly expensive either. Wait staff were sharp ... all in all, quite the delight. Amazing service. Amazing steak. Beautiful grounds. All round a fantastic place to stop for a bite and a drink. I was impressed and would recommend. Cheeky little way to spend my day off. As always a beautiful setting to sit and enjoy a tasty bottle of recommended wine from Matt. Put on your list to visit gastro pub with warm and friendly staff. The closest you will get to France on a Tuesday.
