There is so much to do in Cook Forest. Whether you’re into hiking, kayaking, bike riding, fishing, birdwatching, or just being outdoors, there’s something for everybody here.
8,500 acre old growth forest with 29 miles of hiking trails and 13 miles of biking trails. The closest trailheads (Camp & Corduroy) are just over a mile from the cabin.
What I always loved about Cook Forest is the old fire tower that you can still climb.
Cook Forest State Park has some beautiful hiking locations. I recommend: The Black Bear Trail is an easy 1.1 mile scenic hike, The Browns Run Trail is a 2 mile difficult hike, and the River Trail is a 1.2 mile hard hike from the Fire Tower along the Clarion River - but a hike which I highly…
