Go early! Many pools to soak in and an excellent place to spend the day. Tip: You will have to drive over a mountain pass to get here and back, so drive slow and safe!

If you are going to do hot springs do them right and go to the main hot springs resort! There are capacity limits during Covid so it’s worth calling ahead to see if there is capacity. Usually 5pm is a sweet spot before they reduce capacity (at 6pm capacity limits decrease for hotel guest access)...and between the daytime and evening rush. You can buy booze and food inside;-). Personally I don’t care for the Overlook.

The World's deepest mineral hot springs! They have pools for everyone and adult only pools as well. They recently added a poolside restaurant too. It is pricey but worth the visit...especially at night during the holidays. The lights and steam set a perfect tone.

The Springs is open late at night, such a wonderful way to watch the stars from a pool on the San Juan River.
