Home to the famous Octopus Tree and Cape Meares Lighthouse. Tours for lighthouse in summer season only. Great spot to catch the grey whale migration in December and March(?) Need to google for when the whales are moving. Need binoculars, they're 'moving' not playing and breaching as much as they do when at home in Alaska or Puget sound.

Just a short walk from the parking lot is the light house, and a spectacular ocean view. During fall and spring migration you may see whales. Do bring binoculars. Also a nice spot for a picnic lunch.
