Beautiful scenic drive with pinic areas to stop and take pictures. On the way if you're going to the San Marcos River or Outlet Malls.

Winding road through the hill country on the way to Wimberely. Breathtaking views of vistas and valleys. Road side park to stop and inhale the view. Ghost stories about the Backbone and the western days of frontier men and Indians who lived in the area, no so long ago. Relax, they won't hurt…

A lovely scenic drive with a reputation for being haunted.

Devil’s Backbone is a winding, razor-backed ridge overlooking Hill Country vistas. It extends from RM 12 just south of town and about 24 miles west of Blanco.
