Seattle held the record for most movie theaters per capita for a very long time (rain and movies go well together!). Many of these movie theaters are/were architectural gems built in the first half of the 20th century, and we’ve been going through the pain lately of seeing these disappear one by one. The Egyptian is one of the few that are still standing and kicking ass.

Beautifully renovated Egyptian movie theater. SIFF (Seattle International Film Festival) show many independent and international films.

Classic Movie House on Capitol Hill, rescued by the Seattle International Film Festival that shows a mix of first run movies, Art House hits and classic films. Good Popcorn.
