If you are looking for entertainment for the kids try Pirates Landing in Port Isabel. The food is pretty good and the kids love the atmosphere.

head over the bridge to port Isabel and watch the sunset from the pier. There’s an ice cream shop, fishing, and other activities. While it may look touristy, the food at the restaurant doesn’t disappoint. The blackened redfish is always a winner.
