“Visiting Minyon Falls is a beautiful day out. You will need a car to get there as it is about 50km or an hours drive from the villa. There is no entry fee to the park and you can either check out the waterfall from the viewing platform and walk around the trails or climb down to the waterfall to go for a dip. If you decide to head down to the waterfall you will be rewarded with an awesome rope swing which you can use to launch yourself into the pools below. ”

“Harvest is always on everyone's list of places to visit when they come to the Northern Rivers. Harvest is a restaurant, deli and bakery all set next to each other, in the historic village of Newrybar. The food in all three settings is unmissable and whether you head over for a low-key coffee and a croissant or sit down for a special meal, you will leave with a happy stomach and a happy heart. Bookings are essential for the restaurant as it books up in advance. Breakfast, lunch and dinner is availalble. If you are heading for a coffee, make sure to visit the communal gardens at the back of the bakery :)”

“Fleet is one of the most enchanting regional restaurants to have opened in Australia in recent years. The ever changing menu is made up of a series o smaller dishes, each with a focus on a few primary ingredients. As a guest you have the option to pick and choose from the items listed. Alternatively they offer a relaxed, shared based degustation style menu. The price is $100 per head and consists of eight (8) different dishes. The beverage list is equally fluid! Its focus is on small sustainable and mindfully produced wines with a mix of predominately Australian producers and a smaller variety of international winemakers. They also offer a diverse range of cocktails, beers and house made sodas. You will need to book well in advance to secure a table at Fleet as it is one of the most popular restaurants in the Norther Rivers. www.fleet-restaurant.com.au”

“Cape Byron lighthouse is an iconic building that stands at the headland and can be seen for miles around. The best way to see the lighthouse is to access it via the Cape Byron walking track which will take you around the coast via The Pass and Wategoes, with a final ascent to the lighthouse. The walk takes about 45 minutes one way and there are a few steps to get there but the views are out of this world. Once at the top, you can spot dolphins, turtles and whales (in season from May - Oct). Take some money with you as the cafe at the top must have some of the best views in the area! You can also drive and park at the top of the lighthouse. You will have to pay for parking.”
